"Hang On A Minute Lads, I've Got A Great Idea."
P1150148

Today, we went to the seaside.

Bexhill-On-Sea, in fact. One of my more favourite places. A lovely, quiet seaside down, with a lovely art deco pavillion that has seen plenty of gigs I never went to. Bexhill only has around two streets. And, somewhat surprisingly, was chosen for the name of the apocalyptic holding pen that was decimated at the end of the rather brilliant Children Of Men.

The picture above is of us, my son and I, throwing stones into the sea. One of his favourite ever things. And here are some more :

What is this unusual thing? Answers on a postcard.

P1150200
When he is older, this will make a great cover photograph for a record or an autobiography.

P1150178
Playing with fountains.

P1150206
And again. This was the most fun he'd had in days.

P1150218
Time for a drink.

P1150203
And another!

P1150249
On the other hand this is a great, silly work of art

P1150251
We came back to Bexhill.

P1150253
The De La Warr Pavillions most ambitious work yet - full details

P1150258
This is the full view directly underneath in an access corridor. Quite an unusual view

. P1150259
View from the stairs.

I love Britain. Where else would this type of thing happen?

You will notice the picture quality takes a slightly dull sheen at a certain point : I had to switch from my usual Panasonic Lumix to a HTC Legend Cameraphone, which I frankly despise, but the Lumix lens was misbehaving and I had to recalibrate it - not something you really can do when pressed for time in a rainstorm at the seaside.
